After the meal, we had a walk near the "Red House". We went to Christ Church, St. Paul's Church, A'Famosa and People's Museum which are just within the walking distance. All of these are the hallmark of Malacca.
Christ Church since 1753. A must-visit famous place.
Line of trishaws passed by while we walked along the antique street. This is one of the promotional event of DiGi.
Thanks to our neighbouring country, it's really hot due to the haze. So we decided to have the famous cendol, and also tried out some of the nyonya food. Unfortunately we were still full and only managed to try out 1 dish which is called the "Ayam Pongteh" - Miso Soy Chicken. It's actually the chicken which is cooked with preserved soy beans [Miso], dark soy sauce, sugar and other ingredients.
After that we walked along the old shops, and were attracted by 1 of the art gallery.
Tang's Art Gallery
Each of us bought a Chinese stamp with our names, which costs us around RM40-50 each. The writings are really nice. The business is actually operated by 3 brothers who are quite friendly. They had even drawn a map to guide us to some of the famous food around the area, including the "peanuts soup", "satay celup" and fried oysters. Hmm.. We had really eaten alot. ^-^
Nice fried oyster. Even much better if can put more oysters. It's a long queue and we waited for about 30 minutes before getting our food.
Hmm.... A very nice trip, just eat, walk, eat, walk and eat... ^-^
